Fall is an excellent time for California. In Southern California we experience beautiful combinations of South swells and warm, off-shore, Santa Ana winds creating near perfect surf. To top it off, the summer crowds are out and the beach is ours. Sometimes we even get some North & South combo swells, however a few us can be plagued by island blockage rendering us surf-less by the evil Santa Catalina, San Clemente, San Nicolas Islands in the South and the Channel Islands (San Miguel, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz) in the North that can bar Trestles to Rincon of swell.

Check out the South Ground swell in the image below mixed in with a small North West, you can also see the island blockage. Most of this week we’ll be experience some surf in San Diego, Baja and Mainland Mex.
